Qualifications
You must meet all the requirements below by the closing date of the announcement and they must be clearly identified in your application, resume, or supporting documents. These are used to determine if you possess the knowledge, skills, and/or abilities to successfully perform in this position.
Specialized Experience
To qualify at the GS-15 level, you must have at least one year of specialized experience obtained in the private or public sector that is equivalent to the GS-14 level. Specialized experience is defined as
1.) Leading complex IT service delivery initiatives independently at the enterprise level to optimize system performance and ensure mission-critical availability for agency operations.
2.) Developing advanced SharePoint/enterprise solutions as a technical expert to improve collaboration, streamline workflows, and support senior leadership decision-making.
3.) Analyzing multi-platform cybersecurity risks and compliance requirements with minimal oversight to ensure adherence to federal standards and strengthen the agency's security posture.
4.) Managing cross-functional technology modernization and integration projects as a senior project lead to deliver cost-effective enhancements that improve operational efficiency and user experience.
AND
5.) Evaluating and advising on complex IT architecture, cloud services, and system enhancements as a senior subject-matter advisor to guide leadership decisions and ensure scalable, secure, and future-ready solutions.
Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through national service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills, and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
Education
This position does not require a formal educational credential, and educational qualifications may not be used as a substitute for eligibility.

As a condition of employment for accepting this position, you may be required to serve a one-year probationary period during which we will evaluate your fitness and whether your continued employment advances the public interest. Work Life Balance:
USITC offers Transit subsidy for commuters using public transportation (Metro Bus/Rail, MARC, VRE, etc.).
This position is tele-work eligible.
