- Applying immigration laws and procedures to uncover potential complex fraud schemes and national security concerns that threaten the integrity of the legal immigration system;
- Conducting research on the impact or implementation of enforcement/anti-fraud related programs, directives, or policies have had on past or future performance on the agencies mission;
- Preparing responses to inquiries from peers, supervisors, management, or external customers regarding existing immigration enforcement/anti-fraud actions, programs, or policies;
- Develop and/or recommend changes and/or enhancements to procedures or processes relating to anti-fraud, public safety, and/or national security programs or policies.
Medical Clearance: You and accompanying eligible family members will be required to obtain a worldwide Department of State Medical Clearance (Level 1) certifying that you are eligible to complete work assignments worldwide. Medical inoculations/vaccinations may also be required. You will be required to undergo periodic physical examination to qualify for deployment to international locations where adequate medical care is not always readily available. Vaccinations and other precautionary and/or prophylactic measures may be required before traveling to countries with high risk for infectious diseases.
Cost of Living Allowance and Home Leave: Cost of living allowance and home leave will be determined in accordance with U.S. Department of State policies.
Hardship Post Differential: Where applicable, post hardship differential will be determined in accordance with Department of State policies.

Previous USCIS International Assignment: Unless this international rotational assignment is a promotion over his or her prior international position, a person who has previously served in a USCIS international position and has returned to a USCIS domestic position is not eligible to apply for this international rotational assignment unless he or she has been in a position in the U.S. for a minimum of the past 3 years as of the closing date of this announcement.
Tour of Duty: The initial duration of this international rotational assignment is 2 years with the possibility of two 1-year extensions amounting to a possible maximum total of four years (2+1+1), excluding time spent on home leave. Management may authorize an exception to the four-year limitation due to management need or in the case of a promotion to another international position.
