Combination of experience related customer service and/or library based functions.
Knowledge of basic service operations for libraries. Knowledge of Navy MWR Library's mission. Knowledge of other MWR programs and their purpose. Knowledge of front desk library operations that include library circulations. Knowledge of technology devices and software applications. Skill in providing excellent customer service. Skill in the use of technology devices and software applications to include Microsoft Office applications. Skill in typing. Skill in reading comprehension and basic math. Skill in public speaking. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Ability to communicate both orally and in writing.
The work may require long periods of sitting, standing, walking, bending, and driving. Ability to lift, pull, push and carry 45 pounds. Occasionally required to move heavier items.
Hours of work will vary as required by the needs of the program. Incumbent may be required to work early, late, and on weekends and holidays.
Position has been designated as Non-sensitive. Incumbents must satisfactorily complete all child care background check requirements in accordance with DoDI 1402.05, to include Navy Installation Records Checks (IRCs) and a Child Care Tier 1 investigation processed through DCSA.
Incumbent may be required to work outside in inclement weather for special events and programs.
Must possess and maintain a valid and active U.S. driver's license to drive a government vehicle in the performance of duties.
