Duties

Conducts surveys and studies to ensure that services and facilities meet the needs, cleanliness, and desire of patrons.   Adheres to brand standards and regulations in the daily operation of the facility.  Implements new policies or innovative promotions that increase occupancy rates, and improve guest experiences.  Coordinates with counterparts in the local industry to arrange space at a reasonable rate for patrons when space is not available.

Responsible for maximizing sales/revenues and controlling expenses at BBRF.  Performs work with the objective of meeting or exceeding budgeted profits while maintaining expenses at budgeted levels, and improving economic health.  Plans, organizes work, and manages internal resources to ensure maximum productivity and economies.  Prepares financial records and reports such as; budgets, daily revenue/sales, and inventories.  Responsible for implementing internal and cost controls to safeguard assets.

Leads, supervises, and directs others to ensure profitability of operations.  Responsible for training employees, assigning work schedules, appraising work performance, coaching/mentoring personnel, and recommending personnel actions.  Manages property resources and provides advice on renovations and improvements.  Maintains and enforces security for funds, merchandise, supplies, and equipment to prevent the potential for fraud, waste, and abuse.

Provides World Class Customer Service with an emphasis on courtesy.  Responds positively and empathetically to guest complaints.  Actively tries to resolve problems to the satisfaction of both the guest and MCCS prior to the departure of the guest.  Communicates with patrons and employees in a positive and friendly manner.  Alerts higher-level supervisor or proper point of contact for help when problems arise.  Enforces policies and procedures as defined for BBRF.

Adheres to safety regulations and standards.  Develops and implements strategies/procedures to ensure safety and security of patrons.  Promptly reports any observed workplace hazards, and any injury, occupational illness, and/or property damage resulting from workplace mishaps to the immediate supervisor.  Ensures compliance with fire, safety, security, sanitation and other environmental issues.

Qualifications

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Minimum of 2-years¿ experience in an outdoor recreation type facility.
  • Minimum 1-year management experience supervising employees.
  • Minimum 1-year experience in reviewing and interpreting profit and loss (P&L) reports, and making suggesting to upper management to meet financial goals.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office suite - Outlook, Word, Excel.
  • Must possess interpersonal, oral and written communication skills needed to work productively with individuals such as; high-ranking military officers, Headquarters Marine Corps representatives, government agency representatives, contractors, and MCCS employees.
  • Knowledge of NAF policies and procedures preferred.

ADDITIONAL CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT:

  • Must successfully complete all applicable background investigations as required for Federal employment.
  • This position requires driving a MCCS vehicle or a personal vehicle on behalf of MCCS; therefore, the incumbent must successfully complete a motor vehicle history check, and possess and maintain a current, valid driver's license in their state of residence.

WORKING CONDITIONS:

  • This is a mixed position where the incumbent must be able to lift and carry objects up to 45lbs independently, and objects over 45lbs with assistance.
  • Due to nature of the position, some work will be performed outdoors.  Incumbent may be subject to extreme weather conditions such as hot sunny days, chilly or rainy weather, and snow.
