Duties
Tour of duty for this position is: Monday- Friday 7:00 am - 3:30 pm
This is an Essential-Employee Position. The employee will be required to report to work during emergencies AND inclement weather situations.
Work schedule may require some occasionally mandatory overtime on holidays AND weekends.
The individual selected for this position will:
Participate with senior management in the planning of current and future work schedules, staffing needs, estimates and recommendations as to scheduling projected work. Assign work and establishes deadlines, priorities and work sequences and plans work assignments based on general work schedules, methods and policies set by higher level management.
Determine number and types of workers needed to accomplish specific projects. Determines how many assignments can be done concurrently, which ones can be delayed and the number and types of employees needed, considering skills, personnel, material and equipment available and required.
Redirect individual workers and resources to accomplish unanticipated work and/or equipment failure, etc. Informs the Branch Chief of the need to revise work schedules and re-estimates labor and other resources.
Perform administrative supervisory functions and sets performance standards for subordinates, resolves complaints and grievances and counsel’s employees on performance. Adjust informal complaints through discussions with employees and union representatives.
Interview candidates for vacancies and recommends employees for promotion or reassignments.
May serve as management representative at hearings, meetings and negotiations involving labor-management relations.
Plan and establish overall leave schedules. Determines training needs of subordinates and arranges for its accomplishment. Maintains production reports and records.
Provide leadership to ensure support for equal employment opportunity (EEO) goals and requirements and routinely checks to verify that subordinates are using all required PPE.
Perform other related duties as assigned.
