Duties
If you are selected as a Lead Support Services Specialist, your responsibilities would include, but would not be limited to:
- Reviewing policies, developing procedures, standards, and guidance for space utilization and occupancy in accordance with the General Service Administration (GSA), the Justice Management Division (JMD), and the OIG requirements.
- Advising the Director on potential issues, including risk, and operational impacts.
- Preparing recurring reports, analyses, and briefings on facilities program status, utilization metrics, and compliance.
- Coordinating and provides technical support to a range of administrative services programs supporting OIG operations.
- Supporting the administration of the OIG parking program, including development and implementation of policies and procedures, eligibility determinations, issuance of permits, and maintenance of accurate records.
- Reviewing and analyzing program operations to identify inefficiencies, recommends improvements, and implements solutions to enhance effectiveness and compliance.
- Providing day-to-day technical leadership and coordination of team activities in support of OAS administrative programs.
- Representing OAS in interactions with OIG leadership, JMD, and GSA.
- Representing the team in meetings with internal and external stakeholders and communicates team findings and recommendations.
- Coordinating, distributing, and monitoring workload among team members based on priorities, complexity, and individual competencies.
- Monitoring work in progress and reviewing completed work for quality, accuracy, and compliance with established policies, procedures, and standards.
- Working directly with the Director, relaying priorities, guidance, and feedback to the team.

Probationary Information :

Specialized Experience:
To qualify for this position at the GS-14 grade level, you must have one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-13 grade level obtained in the public or private sector. (Specialized experience is paid or unpaid experience which has equipped you with the specific knowledge, skills, and abilities to successfully perform the duties of the position.) Examples of specialized experience include such duties as:
- Advising senior management on strategic planning initiatives, resource, allocation, workforce management, and operational risks.
- Lead implementation, development and continuous improvement in policies, procedures, and service delivery standards to enhance organizational effectiveness.
- Identify staff training needs and provide or arrange training to enhance technical and team performance.
- Preparing briefings, recurring reports and analysis on facility program status, metrics, utilization, and compliance.
- Managing and coordinating oversight of telecommunications, subscription services, purchase card holder, and other administrative service contracts.
