Duties
- Registers patrons, processes overdues and reserves, assists with interlibrary loans and reserves, shelves library materials, prepares displays, programs activities, answers basic reference questions, and assists customers in locating materials.
- Provides technical services support in a variety of functions such as basic/copy cataloging, ordering/receiving/processing and de-acquisitioning of library materials.
- Assists in maintaining accountability records and in performing shelf inventories.
- Performs simple maintenance on the library's automated systems.

- A one year probationary period may be required.
- Satisfactorily complete an employment verification (E-Verify) check.

- This position requires a favorably adjudicated T1/NACI background investigation
- Must be willing to accept intermittent employment.
- Work schedule will be irregular. The incumbent will be required to work, nights, weekends, holidays and/or special events.
Qualifications
Qualified candidates will possess one of the following:
- one (1) year of specialized experience performing the following duties:
- Follow basic and well-established library procedures, perform duties related to circulation, acquisition, disposal of library materials, as well as collection, maintenance and preservation of books, OR
- possess two (2) years of education above high school (TRANSCRIPTS MUST BE UPLOADED AT THE TIME OF APPLICATION), OR
- possess a combination of the experience (as identified in question #1 - ex: six (6) months) and education (as identified in question #2 - ex: one (1) year) that equates to 100% of the qualification requirements (TRANSCRIPTS MUST BE UPLOADED AT THE TIME OF APPLICATION).
