About the Position: This position is a Military Technician position with the 81ST Regional Support Command, Army Maintenance Support Activity (AMSA) 154, located in Tuscaloosa, Alabama.

Duties
- Maintains, controls, and edits the shop equipment database of supported equipment.
- Responsible for a variety of administrative duties associated with the maintenance and supply of equipment for a maintenance activity.
- Assure equipment maintenance requirements are accomplished in accordance with the Army Maintenance Management System (TAMMS).
- Conduct training for supported units regarding maintenance and supply procedures.
- Receive work requests, schedule work, and monitor work progress.
- Prepare the shop production control schedule, prepare production control reports, and notify units regarding production delays and expected completion dates.
- Responsible for requisitioning, receiving, issuing and maintaining the accountability of supplies.
- Conduct inventories, requisition for supplies, inspect incoming shipments, and report discrepancies.
- Assist in updating property book records.
Conditions of Employment
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- THIS POSITION REQUIRES ACTIVE MEMBERSHIP AS A SOLDIER IN THE U.S. ARMY RESERVE (USAR).
- May be required to obtain and maintain a valid state driver's license in order to obtain a Government Motor Vehicle Operator's certificate.
- This position is subject to Drug Abuse Testing Program requirements.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes work that involves 1) utilizes automated systems toschedule and track repairs or work requests; 2) maintains supply logs or production control records; and 3) conducts inventory of supplies, tools, or parts. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-06).
