Duties
What will I do in this position if hired?
In this position, you will provide advice and assistance to management on reviews of areas of the most pressing importance and the most efficient use of resources in the Office of Policy & Program Analysis, Enterprise Analytics Division, Data Management Branch.
Typical assignments include:
- Managing and reviewing projects to collect, analyze, and present data on appropriate topics from a variety of traditional sources.
- Identifying and integrating conventional internal and external program, policies, procedures, practices, and systems that may affect limited areas of organizations, resource management, and business administration.
- Analyzing and advising management on standard issues related to the effectiveness of programs and operations and the productivity and efficiency of organization and resource utilization.

Qualifications

To qualify for this position at the GS-11 level, you must possess one full year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-09 level in the Federal government, which has equipped you with the skills needed to successfully perform the duties of the position. Experience may be obtained in the federal government, a state or local government, or private sector, and must demonstrate the following:
- Participating in data projects and translating technical concepts into business requirements; AND
- Investigating, researching, and communicating best practices and challenges around data; AND
- Developing briefing materials using data and statistical information.
OR
Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree -or- 3 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree -or- LL.M., if related.
OR
Combination of education and experience.
To qualify for this position at the GS-12 level, you must possess one full year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-11 level in the Federal government, which has equipped you with the skills needed to successfully perform the duties of the position. Experience may be obtained in the federal government, a state or local government, or private sector, and must demonstrate the following:
- Participating in data projects and translating technical concepts into business requirements; AND
- Investigating, researching, and communicating best practices and challenges around data; AND
- Communicating actionable information on the use of data to organization leadership.
To qualify for this position at the GS-13 level, you must possess one full year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-12 level in the Federal government, which has equipped you with the skills needed to successfully perform the duties of the position. Experience may be obtained in the federal government, a state or local government, or private sector, and must demonstrate the following:
- Managing data projects and translating technical concepts into business requirements; AND
- Creating, administering, or overseeing data procedures; AND
- Providing various stakeholders with actionable information on the management and use of data.
