Duties
Tour of Duty: Monday - Friday from 5:00am to 1:30pm or 6:00am - 2:30pm

Supervisory Responsibilities:
Performs administrative and technical supervisory functions for subordinates. Assists with on-boarding new employees. Assigns duties and evaluates performance. Manages the organizational unit’s budget and workload. Develops performance requirements for subordinates and ensures a mutual understanding of the performance standards. Resolves complaints and grievances. Approves or denies leave in accordance with federal law, AOC policies and collective bargaining agreements.
Establishes deadlines, priorities, and work sequences based on general work schedules, methods, and policies set by higher level supervisors. Tracks and reports progress on work assignments: requests authority to adjust assignments and to use overtime, equipment and materials to meet schedules. Assigns work and provides technical direction in accomplishing difficult work steps. Observes work in progress to anticipate and resolve problems. Resolves complaints and grievances as delegated by higher level supervisors. Provides leadership to ensure support for equal employment opportunity (EEO) goals and requirements.
Complies with all OSHA safety rules and regulations to ensure that work is carried out in a safe manner. Initiates or take corrective actions on unsafe conditions in managed areas. Ensures that subordinate employees know how to use required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). Routinely checks to verify that subordinates are using all required PPE.
Determines training needs; develops performance standards and makes formal appraisals of subordinates. Initiates recommendations for promotions or reassignments. Maintains work reports and records. Plans and establishes overall leave schedules.
Materials Handling:
Orders and purchases equipment and furniture for special functions set-ups. Responsible for maintenance, storage and repair of furniture and equipment. Purchases necessary inside equipment, such as chairs, tables, easels, podiums, coat racks, etc. and equipment for outside maintenance, such as power washers, bobcats, leaf blowers, etc.
Along with subordinate Materials Handlers, sets up facilities for special functions. Stores, delivers and sets up equipment and furniture in rooms used for special functions for meetings.
Receives and unloads designated conveyances, palletizes and stacks material. Examines packaging material for conformity with security requisitions which includes proper markings, method of packaging and required shipping protection. Opens containers and checks materials received against invoice report or receipt document, comparing short titles, stock numbers, register numbers and quantity. Separates material received in accordance with serviceability condition and forwards accordingly. Initials accountable receipt document assuming responsibility for accuracy.
Fork Lift Operating:
Operates hand truck, pallet jacks, dollies and other material handling equipment to deliver stock to storage areas or job sites. Operates a forklift truck with a load capacity of less than 10,000 pounds or higher and a height capacity of 168 inches or more. Controls stock movement, being careful to avoid overloading or improper stacking or movement of supplies and materials. Re-positions large trucks at the loading dock bays to facilitate workflow or specialized functions.
Custodial Workforce Operations:
Provide administrative and technical supervision to subordinates performing labor and custodial work. Develop performance requirements for subordinate supervisors and providing for employee skills enrichment through job-related coaching, mentoring and training. Analyze and determine work and manpower requirements and equipment needed to maintain high-level operations of a facility. Prepare budget estimates for supplies, equipment and labor costs for labor and custodial workforce operations. Provide recommendations for optimization of resources which support and enhance a strategic plan and vision. Provide client service support by responding to questions or concerns from high-level clients with high expectations.

2.) Certificate as a Powered Industrial Truck Operator to operate a Forklift in accordance with 29 CFR 1910.178 (l) (6)
