Job Description (Please follow all instructions carefully)

Summary

This position is located within the Morale, Welfare & Recreation Club Alliance, Commander Fleet Activities Yokosuka, Japan. The incumbent picks up food orders from Club Alliance kitchen to be delivered to various locations on base.

Duties

  • Picks up food orders from Club Alliance kitchen to be delivered to various locations on base. Verifies receipts and orders with customers upon delivery.
  • Interacts and provides quality customer service to all patrons in the facility and in delivery services.
  • When not driving, maintains delivery vehicles, to include: cleans vehicles used for delivery; maintains and monitors vehicles per MWR regulations, policies and guidance.
  • May assist with taking orders and prepping orders for delivery, as needed.
  • Ensures annual/monthly/daily inspections are completed in a timely manner and notifies Club Manager accordingly to schedule maintenance as needed.
  • Helps prep orders for delivery.
  • Double check order and verify deliver to correct customer/address.
  • Completes vehicle log sheet

Requirements

Conditions of Employment

  • Incumbent must be able to work varied work schedules to include evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • May be recalled to duty and/or required to work overtime, including on an emergency basis
  • This position is subject to a favorable National Agency Check with Inquiries (NACI/T1).
  • This position is not eligible for telework
  • Must be a U.S. citizen or national.

Qualifications

  • Position requires the incumbent to possess a valid Driver's License to drive up to 3500 Kg /10 passenger vehicle.
  • Must be able to read and understand English.
  • Must be able to read a map
  • Must possess good customer service skills
  • Driver must be able to drive a van and electric vehicle
  • Must be quick and accurate
  • Must be able to follow all traffic rules and maintain good base driving record.
  • Must be able to drive during inclement weather conditions to include rain and snow
  • Ability to do the work of the position without more than normal supervision, and the ability to interpret instructions and specifications .
