To qualify for this position, your resume must state sufficient experience and/or education, to perform the duties of the specific position for which you are applying.
Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer and part time experience. You must clearly identify the duties and responsibilities in each position held and the total number of hours per week.
BASIC REQUIREMENT(S):
Education: A graduate or higher-level degree that included:
Licensure: For all grade levels and positions, applicants must possess a current, active, full, and unrestricted license or registration as a Physical Therapist from a State, the District of Columbia, the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico, or a territory of the United States; and must have passed the National Physical Therapy Examination administered by the
Federation of State Boards of Physical Therapy (FSBPT).

- Applicants who have completed an approved graduate level curriculum and who subsequently completed additional graduate training in a specialized field of clinical practice designed to assure professional competence to practice in the specialty meet the requirements for GS-11. In addition to the Basic Requirements, you must also meet the Minimum Qualifications stated below.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
GS-11: Three (3) years of progressively higher-level graduate education leading to a Ph.D. degree
or Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree;
OR, One (1) year of specialized experience related to the work of the position and equivalent to at least the GS-9 level in the Federal Service. Examples include
: Meet patient's goals and needs and provide quality care by assessing and interpreting evaluation and test result; determine physical therapy treatments plans, administer physical therapy treatments, instruct patients, families, and caregivers in home exercise programs, program information and conduct in-service training with Physical Therapy staff.
GS-12: One (1 ) year of specialized experience related to the work of the position and equivalent to at least the GS-11 in the Federal Service that includes:
Planning and carrying out a full range of treatment where therapeutic objectives are complex, procedures involved require the application of highly specialized skills and plan of care requires knowledge of the latest research; can serve as a mentor for PT residency or fellowship students.
