Conditions of Employment
- U.S. Citizenship is Required.
- Selectee must successfully pass pre-employment requirements prior to appointment.
- Selectee may be required to serve a one year probationary period.

- TIME-IN-GRADE REQUIREMENTS: Applicants must meet time-in-grade requirements to be considered eligible. Applicants must have served 1 year at the next lower grade level or equivalent grade level of federal service to qualify.
- Selectees must pass a drug test prior to appointment.
- Males born after 12/03/59 must be registered for Selective Service.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a current FAC-COR Level 1 Certification.
- Level I CORs within the agency are assigned simple, low risk, contract vehicles such as supply contracts and orders.
Qualifications
To qualify for the Printing Services Specialist, PG -1654-12, you must meet the following requirements:
To qualify for the Printing Services Specialist PG-12, applicants must possess one year of specialized experience equivalent to the PG-11 grade level in the Federal Service that includes: (1) Experience in publishing and printing to manage publishing projects and ensure regulatory compliance; AND (2) Providing technical guidance and ensuring compliance with publishing standards; AND (3) Analyzing technological developments, troubleshooting issues, and implementing improvements in response to evolving publishing standards and technologies.
OR
Education: Undergraduate and Graduate Education: Major study -- journalism, business administration, English composition, commerce, accounting, printing or printing engineering, graphic or commercial art, industrial engineering, or economics.
OR
Combination of Education and Specialized Experience as described above.
Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
All qualification requirements must be met by the closing date of this announcement (03/13/2025) to be considered.
Education
Substitution of education in lieu of specialized experience may not be used or this grade level.
