About the position: This position is located in the Edelweiss Lodge and Resort, an AFRC Facility located in Garmisch-Partenkirchen in the Bavarian Alps, Germany.
The purpose of this position is to perform a wide variety of tasks in the Recreation Department (Retail Store; Tours; Just for Kids program).

Duties
Works under the general supervision of the Leisure Activities Manager. Discusses and coordinates with Supervisor current and planned activities and events, including arrangements for special programs and related staffing requirements at Alpine Adventures to assure continuous, prompt, and courteous customer service. Work performance is evaluated in terms of efficient program operations within set standards of quality, politeness, and customer satisfaction.
Provides guests with local information concerning available programs and activities, makes individual reservations, answers questions concerning any aspect of operated facilities, and provides prompt, courteous service in any area requested. Prepares marketing materials for leisure activity programs.
Receives payments, issues receipts as required, documents business transactions through computer posting entries, processes retail sales through the cash register, ensures proper internal control procedures on key issues, money transactions, safeguarding of hotel property, and guest service are followed. Must be familiar with all programs offered by the activity and with the local area as the job requires providing a lot of information to guests, which could also be as a tour guide. Always maintain a positive attitude around and towards guests to project a positive image of the activities and programs. May serve as a facilitator with the children's program, providing sports and recreation activities, such as arts and crafts, hiking, etc. Ensures that activities are conducted in a well-organized and safe manner.
May be required to drive a 15 PAX passenger van weighing up to 10,000 pounds to transport guests/employees. Ensures the vehicle is not loaded beyond the rated capacity by checking the number of passengers by visual observation. Completes trip tickets and preventive maintenance service records. Fills out driver's accident report in case of accident. Performs driver's maintenance following established rules and regulations. Performs other duties as assigned.

- Must be willing to work irregular work schedule (nights/weekends/holidays)
- Must be able to obtain a valid USAREUR driver's license.
- All required background checks of AR215 -3, Chapter 2, paragraph 213: i. must be satisfactory completed and maintained to include the initiation/completion of Child and Youth National Agency Check with Inquiries (CNACI).
Qualifications
QUALIFICATIONS MUST BE CLEARLY VERIFIABLE IN YOUR RESUME.
Must have or be able to obtain current American Red Cross First Aid and CPR/AED training certification within 6 months of hire.
Must be able to communicate in English (both written and verbal).
Possess and maintain the physical ability to lift and carry 40 pounds, walk, bend, stoop, and stand on a routine basis. Duties may involve working both indoors and outdoors.
