U.S. Citizens and Non-U.S. Nationals who have resided in the U.S. or U.S. Territory for three (3) or more continuous years immediately preceding the start of Federal affiliation.

Duties

  • Issuing rental equipment, checking for damage, performing maintenance, repairs, cleaning of equipment. Performing duties as a driver or assistant driver for field trips or tours.
  • Receiving payments, making reservations, selling tickets, applying cash protection procedures, and preparing daily cash reports. Ensuring stock and inventory items are accessible.
  • Cleaning campers, performing minor repairs, and staging equipment. Cleaning campgrounds, and facilities, using hand tools and operating equipment as necessary.
  • Working an unconventional schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays. Providing customer service by greeting patrons, checking identification cards, issuing and receiving gear, and registering patrons for facility use or events.
  • Additional duties as assigned by management.

  • A one year probationary period may be required.
  • Satisfactorily complete an employment verification (E-Verify) check.
  • Able and willing to work days, nights, weekends, and special events as needed.
  • Subject to satisfactory completion of all pre-employment checks in accordance with AR 215-3, para.2 to include a Child Care Tier 1 background investigation.
  • Must have or be able to obtain a current American Red Cross First Aid and CPR/AED training certification.
  • Failure to successfully completed required training may result in separation.

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:

Must have knowledge of and experience in a wide variety of Outdoor Recreation pursuits. Applicants pursuing a degree in Recreation Management, Outdoor Recreation, or a related field, and in the process of completing an internship or fieldwork program will be considered highly qualified.

Highly Preferred:
Experience repairing, cleaning, and maintaining recreation equipment.

PCS Costs
  • Payment Permanent Change of Station (PCS) costs are not authorized, based on a determination that a PCS move is not in the Government's interest.
Pay-Band (NF or CY) Allowances and Differentials
  • This is a pay-banded position.
  • Sunday premium pay may be authorized by the Garrison Commander. If authorized, only regular (full-time, part-time, limited tenure and seasonal) employees may be paid Sunday premium pay. When authorized, Sunday premium will be paid at the rate of 25% of the basic rate for all hours of non-overtime, when any part of the scheduled tour of duty is performed on Sunday (to a maximum of 8 hours per Sunday). Sunday premium will be paid at the rate of 25% of the basic rate for all hours of non-overtime, when any part of the scheduled tour of duty is performed on Sunday (to a maximum of 8 hours per Sunday).
  • Night differential may be authorized by the Garrison Commander. When authorized, night differential will be paid at the rate of 10% basic rate for hours of non-overtime work performed between 1800-0600.
Incentives and Bonuses
  • Incentives will not be paid.
