This National Guard position is for a SUPPLY SYSTEMS ANALYST (TITLE 32), Position Description Number D0911000 and is part of the IL USPFO, National Guard.

Duties
As a SUPPLY SYSTEMS ANALYST (TITLE 32),GS-2003-9, you will perform analysis of supply management procedures, services, and directives and to plan, organize, review, evaluate and perform limited supervisory responsibilities over subordinates in accomplishing the work of the branch.
Major Duties - This is NOT an all-inclusive list:
- Review, analyze, and interpret supply directives and guidelines to formulate and implement effective operating procedures to achieve optimum logistical support.
- Perform analysis and assessment of logistical program requirements to eliminate problems and deficiencies.
- Develop criteria and administer procedures to affect and ensure the validity of the quality assurance programs within the branch.
- Determine and analyze trends in effectiveness and efficiency to be used for if proving undesirable conditions, accountability of items, expenditure of funds, and management of resources within the branch.
- Analyze data input and statistics extracted from data processing systems to assure adequacy and accuracy of produces and functions.
- Perform surveys and studies of branch supply operations to determine proper application of improved supply methods.
- Develop and establish controls to ensure that results of workload requirements identify systemic problems and enhance mission accomplishment.
- Inform employees of all aspects of personnel programs of the installation, either answering routine questions or obtaining information from specialists when more technical answers are required.
- Receive and resolve or participates in the resolution of grievances, or forwards to higher level management for resolution.
- Participate in the selection of subordinates from lists of eligible candidates.
- Prepare requests for filling vacancies or for additional personnel to meet workload requirements.

- This is an excepted service position that requires membership in the Illinois National Guard, required prior to the effective date of placement.

- This position is covered by the Domestic Violence Misdemeanor Amendment (30 Sep 96) of the Gun Control Act (Lautenberg Amendment) of 1968. An individual convicted of a qualifying crime of domestic violence may not perform the duties of this position.
- Irregular and/or overtime (compensatory) hours may be required to support operational requirements or contingencies or may be required to work hours outside of the normal duty day.

Qualifications
AREA OF CONSIDERATION: The areas of consideration for this position, Title 32 Excepted Service (32 U.S. Code § 709), will be in the following manner and sequence:
- The FIRST area of consideration for this position will be all excepted permanent and indefinite temporary technicians within the ILNG.
- The SECOND area of consideration will be all current Federal Employees.
- The THIRD area of consideration will be all Federal re-employment eligible.
- The FOURTH area of consideration will be applicants willing to become T32 Dual Status Technicians and gain ILNG membership.
- The FIFTH area of consideration will U.S. Citizens.
Military Grades: Enlisted, may not exceed rank of WO1.
GENERAL EXPERIENCE: MUSTpossess the experience, education, or training which has provided you with a general knowledge of one or more aspects of the supply field; experience using computer and automation systems.
SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: GS-09 Level - MUST possess the specialized experience, education, or training equivalent to at least the next lower grade, GS-07 Level, with experience analyzing, developing, evaluating to improve supply programs, policies, procedures, techniques, etc.; experience involving the control of supply stocks and accounting for equipment; knowledge of supply functions, cataloging, maintenance, and disposal procedures; experience in cost estimates, budgets, or funding management; experience conducting extensive searches for required information; reconstruct records for complex supply transactions; and/or provide supply operations support; experience requiring person-to-person contacts to convey information and ability to compile reports, letters, memoranda, etc.
SPECIALIZED SUPERVISORY EXPERIENCE: MUST possess the experience in managing the function of the work to be performed; experience which includes leading, directing and assigning work of personnel.
