Summary

The Department of Veterans Affairs mission is "to fulfill President Lincoln's promise to care for those who have served in our nation's military and for their families, caregivers, and survivors." The Office of Employment Discrimination Complaint Adjudication (OEDCA) was established by Congress to ensure fairness, integrity, and trust throughout the Department's adjudicatory phase of the equal employment opportunity (EEO) complaint process.

The incumbent serves as the Department's subject matter expert in the field of employment discrimination complaint adjudication. The incumbent serves as a liaison between OEDCA and internal and external stakeholders, to include executing congressionally-mandated reporting and representing the VA in connection with recurring program oversight and compliance functions led by the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC) and Congress.
