Preferred Experience:
- Successful completion of a two-year post doctoral fellowship in clinical neuropsychology and eligibility for board certification as a clinical
neuropsychologist (according to the Houston Conference Guidelines on specialty education and training in clinical neuropsychology)
- Experience in utilizing fixed battery approach, as well as flexible process approach in completing both full scale and
screening neuropsychological evaluations in responding to a variety of referral questions from a variety of specialties.
- Experience in providing neuropsychological consultation on both an inpatient and outpatient basis (responding to a variety of referral questions from a variety of specialties); experience in providing rehabilitation neuropsychological consultation on both an inpatient and outpatient basis (responding to a variety of referral questions from a variety of specialties)
- Experience providing full scale civil forensic neuropsychological evaluations on an outpatient basis (including utilization of stand alone
and embedded performance validity testing and the Minnesota Multiphasic Personality Inventory Second Edition- Restructured Form).
- Experience utilizing the Neuropsychological Assessment Battery (NAB) Complete Kit, the Halstead-Reitan Neuropsychological Battery for Adults, and the Wechsler Adult Intelligence Scale Fourth Edition (WAIS-IV)
- Experience providing feedback to patients and their family members regarding the results of neuropsychological evaluations, as well as
providing treatment planning recommendations involving consultation and/or on-going treatment (as warranted) with other specialties.
Receiving Service Credit or Earning Annual (Vacation) Leave: Federal Employees earn annual leave at a rate (4, 6 or 8 hours per pay period) which is based on the number of years they have served as a Federal employee. Selected applicants may qualify for credit toward annual leave accrual, based on prior work experience or military service experience. This credited service can be used in determining the rate at which they earn annual leave. Such credit must be requested and approved prior to the appointment date and is not guaranteed.
