Summary

These positions are located in the Department of Justice, Executive Office for United States Attorneys, Office of the Chief Information Officer. EOUSA provides executive and administrative support for the 94 United States Attorneys' offices (USAOs) and coordinates and directs the relationships between the USAOs and other DOJ components and federal agencies.

Student Interns are defined as individuals enrolled or accepted for enrollment in an accredited high school, qualifying career or technical educational program, or vocational school; two-year or four-year college or university; graduate or professional school; or individuals who are taking at least a half-time academic, vocational, or technical course load leading to a degree, diploma, or certificate.

Duties

Interns may assist with the following:

  • Compiling information about Section 508 requirements and then building an educational internal website on Section 508 requirements
  • Business process reengineering related to service delivery
  • Cybersecurity duties to assist with reviewing system vulnerabilities and compliance
  • Mobility duties to support the USAO community (e.g., reformatting Government Funded Equipment devices)
  • Develop user requirements for end user applications
  • Build applications in Microsoft Power BI and Power Apps
  • Perform SQL report development
  • Technical project planning

  • You must be a United States Citizen or National.
  • Initial appointment is conditioned upon a satisfactory pre-employment adjudication. This includes fingerprint and credit checks. Continued employment is subject to a favorable adjudication of a background investigation

  • You must meet half-time student enrollment requirements.

Qualifications

To be eligible for this internship ALL of the following requirements must be met:

  • Student Status: Successful candidates must have outstanding academic records, superior writing skills and be in good academic standing at his/her university. Student interns must be United States Citizens. You must meet all qualification requirements upon the closing date of this announcement.
  • Grade Point Average: You must have at least a 2.5 GPA.
  • Citizenship: Student Interns must be United States citizens or owe permanent allegiance to the United States. (Currently, natives of American Samoa, Swains Island and certain inhabitants of the Commonwealth of the Northern Mariana Islands are the only groups that owe permanent allegiance to the United States).
  • Background Investigation: You must successfully complete a suitability review and receive a favorable determination based on information provided in their security forms and credit report to determine suitability for Federal employment.

All academic degrees and coursework must be completed at an institution that has obtained accreditation or pre-accreditation status from an accrediting body recognized by the U.S. Department of Education in order for it to be credited towards qualifications.
