Qualifications
GS-14: One year of specialized experience, equivalent to the GS-13 grade level in the Federal service, obtained in either the private or public sector:
- Evaluating the business operations and financial performance of private equity, venture capital , lending, or other financial investment organizations; AND
- Understanding and application of a complex set of government regulations to sophisticated financial organizations; AND
- Supervising the work of professional staff focused on the core service(s) or product(s) of a similar private equity, investing, banking, lending, or financial services organization; AND
- Proficiency in project management, financial systems, and data and analytic tools including spreadsheets, reporting, dash boarding, and enterprise tools.

As part of this vacancy, there are 2 Quality Ranking Factors (QRF):
- Subject matter expertise of the private equity, venture capital and private credit investment industries, obtained through professional work experience.
- BA in Finance or related discipline, professional certifications as a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA), Chartered Alternative Investment Analyst (CAIA) or equivalent professional training.

Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g. Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment.
