Duties
- Serves as the Deputy Director of Finance for Defense Finance, supervising 3 branch chiefs (Disbursing, Vendor Pay/Travel, Payroll) and subordinates in the finance directorate providing financial services to over 170 customers.
- Manages, directs and executes financial services for DoD and Army NAFIs. Develops policies, coordinates, and performs all finance functions for serviced customers.
- Establishes and maintains internal controls ensuring the financial integrity of the finance operations. Designs and implements changes which result in more effective control or overall efficiencies as well as process improvements.
- Plans and assigns work to be accomplished by subordinate supervisors who guide and control work of administrative and technical personnel.
- Ensures reasonable equity of performance standards and rating techniques developed by subordinates.

Qualifications
Supervisory experience that demonstrates the ability to plan and organize work, analyze problems, identify significant factors, gather pertinent data and instruct and guide others in implementing required solutions. Required experience must be equivalent in complexity and difficulty to the next lower grade.
Demonstrate ability to produce process improvements within short and changing deadlines. Experience demonstrates leadership and ability to change.
Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing through the delivery of formal presentations and reports.
Demonstrated ability to evaluate program effectiveness and compliance with policies and procedures. Knowledge of Financial Management concepts, principles, and processes.
Knowledge of Financial Management concepts, principles, and processes (budgeting, internal / management controls, statistical analysis, productivity improvement, performance effectiveness, benchmarking.
Highly Preferred:
Working knowledge of non-appropriated fund practices, regulations and guidance materials.
Completion of a bachelor's degree in a discipline closely related to the duties to be performed.
