Time-in-Grade: Current or former federal employees who have held a GS position in the preceding 52 weeks, must meet the time in grade requirement. Applicant must have served 52 weeks as a GS-13 or higher grade in Federal Service.
To minimally qualify for this position, you must meet all the following requirements:
One year of specialized experience equivalent in level of difficulty and responsibility to that of the next lower grade (GS-13) or equivalent in other pay scales) within the federal service, which demonstrates the ability to perform the duties of the position, is required.
Specialized Experience is defined as performing the following:
- Applying advanced qualitative and quantitative analytical methods to evaluate and improve program effectiveness, operational processes, or administrative systems.
- Developing, interpreting, or revising organizational policies, procedures, operating instructions, or administrative guidance.
- Designing or overseeing data collection strategies, analytical tools, or operational reports; analyzing complex datasets; and presenting findings and recommendations to senior leadership.
- Managing or evaluating projects or program initiatives, including establishing performance measures, conducting progress reviews, and recommending adjustments to priorities, schedules, or resources.
- Providing authoritative advice to senior officials, preparing and delivering briefings, and representing the organization in meetings, conferences, or workgroups.
- Supervising or leading staff, including assigning work, evaluating performance, resolving employee issues, identifying training needs, and ensuring compliance with EEO and safety requirements.
Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. |
