Duties
Oversee offender intake and processing activities, including reviewing court, parole, and supervised release documents, and ensuring accurate data entry into criminal justice systems such as SMART, WALES, NCIC, CIS, JUSTIS, and SENTRY.
Conduct research and analyze offender background information to verify identity, reconcile criminal history records, and support development of supervision plans.
Prepare investigative summaries and initial supervision documentation used by Community Supervision Officers in case planning.
Coordinate offender processing requirements, including DNA sampling, orientation scheduling, referrals, and assignment to specialized supervision teams.
Provide technical guidance and information to Community Supervision Officers and criminal justice partners regarding offender history, case discrepancies, and available resources.
Assist in the development and interpretation of policies and procedures governing RAP Unit operations.
Supervise a team of GS-7 to GS-11 specialists, including assigning work, evaluating performance, resolving complaints, administering minor disciplinary actions, approving leave, and mentoring staff.
