Summary

The Senate Sergeant at Arms is seeking a Talent Acquisition Partner III. Duties

Serves as a subject matter expert on recruitment processes, policies, and procedures; provides expert interpretation of employment policies, laws and regulations. Acts as a strategic partner to stakeholders to ensure alignment of talent acquisition process with departmental goals. Builds and maintains a robust candidate pipeline to meet current and future workforce needs. Serves as subject matter expert in sourcing and engaging top talent through various channels to meet long-term organizational needs. Proactively analyzes recruitment metrics and trends and makes recommendations for executive decision-making and optimizes recruitment processes. Develops, implements, and executes recruitment outreach strategy, branding efforts and hiring events. Maintains and updates recruitment tools, resources and systems and technologies to support talent acquisition. Participates and interview panels and makes recommendations for the selection of applicants. Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Required Work Experience

  • 8+ years of talent acquisition experience, including project leadership in complex projects or initiatives.

Required Special Skills/ Knowledge

  • In keeping with the policy of conflicts of interest, relatives of Sergeant at Arms employees are not eligible to work in the Human Resources Office.
  • Advanced problem-solving and critical thinking skills.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Excellent writing and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience managing large-scale recruitment projects.
  • Advanced experience with applicant tracking systems (ATS) and recruitment technologies.
  • Strong knowledge of and application of employment laws and best practices.

  • Confidentiality and discretion in handling sensitive information.
  • Ability to proactively source and stay self-motivated.

Desired Qualifications

  • Demonstrated ability to develop and deliver effective HR training sessions for hiring managers.
  • Ability to create training materials and facilitate interactive workshops on structured interviews, behavioral questioning techniques, and bias mitigation in hiring. 
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to effectively convey complex hiring processes, provide clear guidance to hiring managers, and facilitate productive candidate interactions. 
  • Proactive problem solver who takes initiative to find creative and effective solutions.
  • High attention to details; produces high quality written communications and projects with minimal errors. 
  • Ensures accuracy and compliance with recruitment processes by reviewing screening criteria to maintain consistency and fairness. 
  • Familiarity with adjudicating criminal background checks.
  • Proactively communicates with leadership about recruitment projects, challenges and developments.
  • Experience with Work Day is preferred.
  • Positive attitude and commitment to delivering excellent customer service to stakeholders.
  • Must be able to work independently with minimal supervision.

Education

Bachelor’s degree in human resources management, Business Administration, or related field.
