Summary

This position is located in the Information Systems and Technology Services. As a Technology and Change Specialist, you will be responsible for providing IT communications and training for new products and services to the GAO workforce. The role also involves participating in management decision-making related to policy, practice, accessibility, and labor-relations communications and discussions, as well as advising on how new technologies may impact employee's ability to perform their duties.

Duties

As aTechnology and Change Specialist, PT-0301-3, your typical work assignments may include the following:

  • Serves as the lead for all customer communications regarding IT products and services. This is accomplished by independently developing website content, IT notices, creating training video vignettes, preparing and delivering live training and marketing
    materials, educational materials, etc.
  • Provides recommendations on communications related to GAO notices and Union notifications pertaining to the implementation of IT changes. Serves as an ISTS representative.
  • Develops strategies for effectively introducing IT related organizational change to customers regarding the agency's IT environment.
  • Independently executes continual communications and notices to staff (for various groups or agency-wide); collects all notices from ISTS staff and reviews; creates weekly IT Tip notice (to help staff become aware and efficient in performing their job).
  • Serves as a contracting officer's representative (COR) for IT training and communications related contracts.

Qualifications

You may qualify at the BAND PT-III, if you fulfill the following qualification requirement:

One year (52 Weeks) of specialized experience equivalent to the NEXT LOWER BAND PT-II; CS-II; PE-IIA; or GS-13 grade level in the Federal service or equivalent that demonstrates your ability to:
  • Coordinates customer communication strategies on IT products and services (developing website content; creating training videos; delivering live training; etc.)
  • Analyzed feedback from customer channels to identify best management practices and training methodologies; AND
  • Serves as a Contracting Officer's Representative (COR) for IT related contracts.
