Duties
- Operates a personal computer (PC) and peripheral equipment to produce a variety of civilian and military correspondence, spreadsheets, charts, reports and graphs, using a wide variety of software programs. Enters data, produces a variety of correspondence, reports and recaps. Executes site pricing file changes and audits to ensure accuracy of data. Executes new vendor creation.
- Prepares daily cash receipts report, sales reports, and cash overage and shortage report. Responsible for preparing required weekly and monthly reports encompassing the entire vending operation, both direct and indirect.
- Audits documents such as vending machines cash receipts reports, transfer vouchers, direct delivery invoices, direct issues, requisition and issues, etc., for accuracy and completeness. Maintains an accurate written account of all products received, stocked in machines, and receipts generated through sales. Must reconcile inventory to cash receipts daily. Maintains a number control on accounting documents that relate to sales operations and issuing and receiving documents.
- Receives, counts and verifies cash receipts and issues change funds as required. May be required to accompany vendor to pick up cash receipts. Responsible for machine and route vehicle inventories of merchandise and the safeguarding of cash receipts from vending locations to Vending office.
Received and makes telephone calls on broken machines, and maintains a call sheet on "out of order" reports on all vending machines throughout the Marine Base. Notifies proper party of problems giving location number and machine, type, etc., for appropriate action. Screens incoming telephone calls, determining those, which can be answered, and those, which must be referred. - Maintains records, manually and on a computer, for all contract vending and amusement machines and all Marine Corps Community owned vending machines. Required to participate in periodic inventories. May make arrangements for meetings including space and time, and notifies those who are to attend of the topics to be discussed. Prepares detailed or summary reports for meetings. Establishes and maintains subject matter files and records. Types complex correspondence such as statistical reports, budget spreadsheets, financial statements, directives from handwritten drafts or oral instructions in accordance with available guidelines and instructions by utilizing a personal computer. Responsible for correct spelling, punctuation, and proofreading of typed materials.
- May receive and load vending items for delivery to vending machine and micro market locations. May remove aged food or other merchandise from machines and micro markets; replenish merchandise; and make appropriate notations on required documents. May drive motor vehicle with a gross vehicle weight of up to 10,000 pounds throughout an installation under limited traffic conditions at low speeds.
- Provides World Class Customer Service with an emphasis on courtesy. Assists customers and communicates positively in a friendly manner. Takes action to solve problems quickly. Alerts the higher-level supervisor, or proper point of contact for help when problems arise. Adheres to safety regulations and standards. Promptly reports any observed workplace hazards, and any injury, occupational illness, and/or property damage resulting from workplace mishaps to the immediate supervisor. Adheres to established standards of actively supporting the principles of the EEO program and prevention of sexual harassment.
- Performs other related duties as assigned. This is a white-collar position where occasional lifting up to 45 lbs may be required.

Qualifications
- Minimum two years of experience that demonstrates working knowledge of a personal computer and peripheral equipment using Microsoft software or a similar integrated software program. Vending experience preferred. Working knowledge of word processing, database, spreadsheet, and graphics utilization and implementation. Experience in the performance of a variety of clerical duties, such as typing, filing, record keeping, etc. Excellent oral and written communications skills. Light to moderate effort is required in bending, stooping, lifting and stocking. Lifts and carries objects up to 45 lbs independently and objects over 45 lbs with assistance. Driver's license required.
