Ability and knowledge to supervise a diverse workforce of government and contracted employees to accomplish the FFSC's mission of providing support to service members and their families. Ability to represent the team in dealings with the FFSC Director for the purpose of obtaining resources (e.g., computer hardware and software, use of overtime or compensatory time), and securing needed information or decisions from the supervisor on major work problems and issues that arise. Ability to resolve simple, informal complaints of employees and refer others, such as formal grievances and appeals, to the supervisor or an appropriate management official. Ability to work with social service delivery systems in the local community to include establishing agreements with individual agencies. Work is primarily sedentary in nature.
Must be able to work varied work schedules to include split days off, evenings, weekends, and holidays when circumstances require to include natural disasters, deployment support, and establishment of emergency family assistance centers (EFAC).
Occasional travel up to approximately 20% may be required.
Must have or be able to obtain and maintain a valid state driver's license.
Must have or be able to obtain and maintain a Secret Security Clearance.
Must have or be able to obtain and maintain Contracting Officer's Representative certification.
Position is telework eligible as determined by agency policy.
