Summary

The Senate Sergeant at Arms is seeking a Talent Acquisition Coordinator. Duties

Prepares and posts vacancies, writes and places ads, provides information to applicants and Senate staff. Reviews position descriptions and provides advice, guidance and assistance on recruitment processes, including interviews and policy interpretation. Assists candidates and Senate staff through the full cycle recruitment process. Assists with creating and maintaining recruitment library of resources. Other duties, as assigned.

Qualifications

Required Work Experience

  • 2-4 years 

Desired Qualifications

  • Talent Acquisition Management: Experience in maintaining and updating applications in ATS. Provides support during the onboarding process for new hires, including preparing offer letters and coordinating orientation schedules.
  • Effective Communication: Strong ability to communicate and coordinate with fellows to gather necessary program data, information, documents, and resources. Excellent verbal and written communication abilities for clear and concise information exchange. Provides timely correspondence with candidates regarding their recruiting status through effective follow-up via email and/or phone.
  • Solutions-Orientated: Demonstrates creativity and a solutions-oriented mindset to identify opportunities to enhance the candidate experience. 
  • Lifecycle Tracking: Proficient in tracking and communicating key milestones and documents throughout the Stars of Valor Fellowship Program and Fellow lifecycle. 
  • Organizational Skills: Excellent organizational skills to manage multiple tasks and timelines efficiently. 
  • Discretion and Confidentiality: Demonstrated ability to handle sensitive information with the utmost discretion and confidentiality. Experience in maintaining confidential records and reports, ensuring privacy and data protection. 
  • Exceptional Time Management: Proven ability to efficiently manage time and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines. 
  • Strong Attention to Detail: Demonstrated meticulousness and precision in handling tasks and responsibilities. 
  • Understanding of Military Protocols: Knowledge in military customs and courtesies demonstrating respect and adherence to these practices.

Education

Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources Management or related field.
