Duties

As an Agenda/Document Analyst, some of your typical work assignments may include:

  • Performing analysis and review on Commission documents and related filings ensuring that they meet statutory requirements and administrative precedents. Interpreting and evaluating information collected from various sources to determine how they impact on analysis/review of documents.
  • Providing clear and accurate information through briefings, e-mails and other responses to questions for which he/she has oversight and/or responsibility; responding timely to questions in a professional and helpful manner, with courtesy, understanding and tact to Commission staff, Commissioners' assistants and office personnel.
  • Interacting and cooperating with other team members to identify and address relevant matters; coordinating work on assignments with team members, other appropriate technical staff and other Offices and consistently ensuring that the team successfully and timely meets its assigned responsibilities.

You can qualify based on your education OR one full year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-09 level, OR have a combination education and experience. Specialized experience is defined as: Experience independently conducting management studies, surveys, research and analysis to apply detailed reports of all aspects of work processes; preparing reports of study and survey findings, to include recommendations and improvements.

Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills, and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. The duty location of this position is Washington, DC.  Agency employees are eligible for telework and other workplace flexibilities. Telework days and waiting periods for eligibility are determined when an employee enters on duty.

How You Will Be Evaluated

You will be evaluated for this job based on how well you meet the qualifications above.
