Summary

The Senate Sergeant at Arms is seeking a EAP/Wellness Resource Specialist. Duties

Researches and develops of wellness programs/ technology-based health programs designed to improve the health and well-being of the employee population. Promotes and coordinates targeted wellness programs (both technology and non-technology based) for stakeholders. Supports engagement strategies in support of the client wellness programs. Review client wellness environment and initiates technology and non-technology-based improvements to impact overall health of employees and family members. Develops technology and non-technology-based health education content and presents to employee population (virtually and in person). Partners with internal and external key stake holders to integrate, administer & support developed programs and corporate strategies related to health & wellness. Monitors and reports metrics and scorecard outcomes. Assists in managing the wellness budget to maximize participation and engagement in wellness activities. Other duties as assigned.

  •  2+ years.

Required Special Skills/ Knowledge

  • In keeping with the policy of conflicts of interest, relatives of Senate employees are not eligible to work in the Senate EAP Office.
  • Program development.
  • Marketing/program promotion.
  • Program evaluation.
  • Wellness resource development.
  • Vendor relationship management/finance skills.
  • Strong communication skills with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Ability to interact professionally with others regarding sensitive and confidential issues.

As part of our hiring process, we may conduct a skills assessment to better understand an applicant’s proficiency in key areas relevant to the role. 

Desired Qualifications

  • Certified Health Education Specialist (CHES) or Master Certified Health Education Specialist (MCHES) certification is preferred.
  • Prior experience working with telehealth platforms, health data analytics and/or other health IT applications.
  • Excels in executing technology projects and coordinating efforts across departments.
  • Prior experience with web content design, digital marketing and a variety of program promotion techniques.

Education

BA in health promotion/wellness, social work or social sciences.
