Summary

This position is for an EQUIPMENT SPECIALIST, PD# D1257000, part of the Nevada Army National Guard. This position is located in the Joint Forces Headquarters-State, Logistics Directorate (J-4/G-4), State Surface Maintenance Management Office. The purpose of this position is to provide instruction and assistance to state unit personnel regarding Army National Guard (ARNG) equipment and maintenance management.

--Provide advise, assistance, and guidance regarding maintenance management systems (GCSS-A), material readiness programs(EMSR, USR), cost reduction programs, and maintenance shop practices in maintenance facilities. Ability to communicate with equipment management representatives. Assist and apply expertise guidance for the G4 inspection team (CMDP and MAIT)
--Review, and assist in the process for unit Equipment and Material Status Report (EMSR) Unit Readiness Reports (USR) to submit to higher echelon. Assist in the submission of unit RESET plans both before and after deployments.
--Prepare and conduct both classroom and on the job training designed to upgrade, improve, and/or update the knowledge and working skills of unit maintenance personnel and production controllers.
--Utilize GCSS-A to identify errors, equipment, non-mission capable time, work order status, man-hour accounting , produce reports, and to determine a course of action to improve readiness.
--Familiarity with LOGSA and its systems to include Modification Management Information Systems (MMIS), WEBLIDB, Parts TRKR, ILAP, AIMS and FedLog. Familiarization with new equipment and warranty tracking.
