Summary

This position is located in the Government Accountability Office. As a IT Project Manager you will be responsible for leads continuous application enhancements, implements business processes or communications to support use of their managed product(s), conducts product and/or project management responsibilities and reporting, and manages stakeholder satisfaction supported by strong leadership skills and articulate communication abilities.

Duties

As a IT Project Manager, PT-2210-3 your typical work assignments may include the following:

  • Develops and supports the implementation of larger strategic goals that enhance agency People Values through enhancement of customer experience.
  • Ensures a collaborative culture exists within the team and promote team building. Conduct project retrospectives to obtain feedback from teams and leadership to continuously improve processes and quality.
  • Conducts product and/or project management responsibilities and reporting and manages stakeholder satisfaction supported by strong leadership skills and articulate communication abilities.
  • Communicates with business stakeholders, serves as a Union liaison, and collaborates closely with Agile teams to keep all areas of the business informed on a project/program's development.

Qualifications

You may qualify at the BAND III level, if you fulfill the following qualification requirement:

Competencies: You must have IT related experience demonstrating these four competencies:
1) Attention to Detail - Is thorough when performing work and conscientious about attention to detail.
2) Customer Service - Works with clients and customers (that is, any individuals who use or receive the services or products that your work unit produces, including the general public, individuals who work in the agency, other agencies, or organizations outside the Government) to assess their needs, provide information or assistance, resolve their problems, or satisfy their expectations; knows about available products and services; is committed to providing quality products and services.
3) Oral Communication - Expresses information (for example, ideas or facts) to individuals or groups effectively, taking into account the audience and nature of the information (for example, technical, sensitive, controversial); makes clear and convincing oral presentations; listens to others, attends to nonverbal cues, and responds appropriately.
4) Problem Solving - Identifies problems; determines accuracy and relevance of information; uses sound judgment to generate and evaluate alternatives, and to make recommendations.

Specialized Experience:
You must have one year (52 Weeks) of specialized experience equivalent to the PT-II/GS-13 grade level in the Federal service that demonstrates your ability to Facilitating use of Agile methodologies in backlog grooming, sprint planning, and sprint review meetings. Developing performance work statements, statements of work, and task orders for commercial product procurements and/or contract labor services. Serving as a Contracting Officer's (and/or Technical) Representative (COR/COTR)..

Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
