Summary

Duties

Administers the Senate's learning management systems for all stakeholders. Serves as a COR for Learning Management System (LMS) contractors and the learning delivery platform. Provides guidance and support to employees on matters pertaining to the learning management system. Identifies training needs through analysis and evaluation. Moderates and facilitates training to Senate staff on workplace training and technical topics. Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Other Duties/ Responsibilities

  • Provides technical and application support for webinars and all in-person training.
  • Provides supervision and guidance to Senior Coordinator for Training & Development.
  • Coordinates in-person events.

Required Work Experience

  • Five (5) to seven (7) years of experience in LMS administration.

Required Special Skills/ Knowledge

  • Knowledge of, or ability to learn, services provided by the Office of Training & Development.
  • Knowledge of, or ability to learn, departmental rules, regulations, procedures, and functions, including policies and regulations set by the Senate Rules Committee and the Senate Committee on Ethics.
  • Ability to direct and supervise the work of subordinate personnel performing a variety of administrative functions.
  • Ability to recognize and recommend necessary changes in user and/or operational procedures.
  • Experience in developing and administering learning management systems, preferably Cornerstone.
  • Knowledge of Instructional Systems Design, course development, and training. Knowledge of communication principles, media, and marketing techniques.
  • Knowledge of training evaluation models.
  • Ability to conduct needs analysis to determine training needs.
  • Ability to accurately prepare and process a variety of reports, records, and documents.
  • Ability to effectively interact with staff members representing all levels of the organization, as well as with outside vendors.
  • Ability to communicate effectively.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage a complex workload, prioritize tasks, and use good judgment in providing services based on goals.

Education

High School Diploma/ GED.
