You must have one full year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-14 level. Specialized experience is defined as: Experience in managing, leading, or directing teams and projects, rulemakings, option papers and preparing orders and recommendations regarding complex oil and/or natural gas pipeline industry issues such as: transportation service proposals; gas storage service proposals; five-year index review; rate of return and proxy group analysis; initial rates in natural gas pipeline section 7 applications; initial, committed and indexed rates in oil proceedings; market-based and cost of service rate analysis oil and/or natural gas proceedings; changes to tariff terms and conditions of service in oil and/or natural gas pipelines.
Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills, and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including any volunteer experience.
